What we offer

Our adult accident and emergency liaison mental health staff support Adults who attend the accident and emergency department at Tameside General Hospital and need mental health support. We also provide a service to GPs, offering an urgent mental health assessment to patients.

The team is only able to accept referrals from a hospital professional or a GP.

They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week:

Healthy Minds

What we offer

The Healthy Minds service is for people over the age of 16 years, who are registered with a GP in the Tameside and Glossop areas.

Opening Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

We offer support and treatment for those who are experiencing symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, low mood / depression, stress, worry or anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or panic attacks.
With help and support, these feelings and symptoms can be managed, guiding you to a successful recovery.

The service is delivered by a range of professionals including therapists and counsellors, who will find a level of treatment that is right for you. This could be a group workshop, an online or telephone based course of self-help treatment, or an individual therapy session.

You can access the Healthy Minds service by completing the online form on our website, alternatively, you can speak to your GP or other health professional for a referral.

What we offer

For anyone with Mental Health issues Some sessions are supported by a Mental Health Nurse – drop in or contact centre to get help or if experiencing mental health distress. Service free to clients.

Drop-In: Monday – Saturday 12:00pm – 14:30pm

2nd Monday of each month

Suicide Bereaved Support Group – a peer support group for anyone affected by a suicide, no need to book, including refreshments. Drop in Peer Support Group: 17:30pm – 19:00pm. Service free to clients.
